Ireland-based Powerflow Electronics is opening its first North American operation in Michigan City.

The company makes compressor condensate drains, electronic controls and automation equipment. It's locating a new facility in Michigan City, which has been called the air compressor capital of the world because of the manufactures Sullivan-Palatak, Vanair and Hitachi, long known as Sullair.

"Powerflow’s move to North America signifies our commitment to meet the growing demands of our customers and serve them better," CEO Fergal Power said. "Our Michigan City facility will provide a strategic base for us to extend the reach of our industry-leading products and services. Our continued focus is to support our long-standing partnerships and build new customers relationships in the region."
